N.G.R. Tint, Dye & Tone™
Dye Concentrates in MEK
for use with Lacquers and most solvent based stains.

Non Grain Raising metalized dye concentrates are dispersed in M.E.K. (Methyl Ethyl
Ketone). These dyes are known for their permanence and fastness to light, as well as their
brilliance.
Use:
1 - on bare wood as a NGR Dye,
2 - to Tint and adjust the color of lacquer stains,
3 - in lacquer to make shading lacquers or Toners. When dispersed in M.E.K. or lacquer
thinner the dyes are excellent for adjusting the color of any solvent base stain or for
creating a transparent colored lacquer. Due to their transparency the colors are synergistic.
This quality allows the user to hit the deeper colors such as "oxblood", while maintaining
good color sharpness.
Dilute with Lacquer Thinner and/or Lacquer Retarder.
Retarder will slow drying & allow more control.
Intermix to obtain other colors and wood tones. For example: RED dye mixed with BLUE
dye yields a violet tone. RED dye mixed with BLACK dye yields a purple tone.

Make tests to determine colors and suitability for your application.

WATER Dye Concentrates
These light fast metalized dye concentrates are dispersed in water.

Use to:
1 - Dye bare wood.
2 - Tint and color water based dyes and stains.
3 - Tone or color water based finishing products.
These dyes are known for their permanence and fastness to light, as well as their brilliance.
Dilute with water to adjust intensity. Intermix to obtain other colors and wood tones.

Please note:
the same color metalized dye will not be an exact match in MEK & Water
